About the training session

Standard training session takes 2,5 hours

The first half hour is devoted to stretching the body and to warming it up by aerobic repeating kicking and punching techniques in pairs into blocks held by a partner. The first Wing Chun form Siu Nim Tau is performed before grouping into advanced groups.

All techniques are focused on practical self-defense for maximum reality with minimal protection and are carried out in pairs (more advanced training also includes self-defense against several attackers). The advanced students practice Chi Sau, “sticking hands” exercise, as well. The training is completed by the Siu Nim Tau.

Long-term development

Wing Chun Prague offers the development of all aspects of this martial art.

Beginners learn to deal with critical situations and physical confrontation by practicing practical self-defense techniques and skills.

Intermediates already address the situation proactively, including the possibility of being attacked by multiple attackers. (so-called outer kung fu)

Advanced students develop their skills and aspects of adversary control, maximizing their strength, generated from coordination and relaxation, with the intention that all the skills acquired through training become part of their subconscious processes. (so-called inner kung fu).

Seminars with Wing Chun masters

Wing Chun Praha gives you an opportunity to meet, train and be inspired from many foreign masters taught by the legendary Chu Shong Tin.

We organize training stays abroad as well as we invite the best practitioners and masters from Hong Kong, Great Britain and Australia to Prague.

First recruitment training

Come in a relaxed mood, you don't have to worry about your workout.

What you can look forward to

  • At the first training session we will introduce you to the basic principles of Wing Chun
  • You will try and learn basic Wing Chun punches and kicks
  • We will explain to you and show you practical self-defense techniques to gain an advantage against a more physically fit individual with the knowledge of the structure of the human body.
  • You will know the atmosphere of the school

What does training look like?

  • Warming up and stretching (15 minutes)
  • Kicks, punches, drill (15 minutes)
  • The first form of Wing Chun – Siu Nim Tau
  • Wing Chun techniques (90 minutes)
